The Role:
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING & PROJECTS
DURATION: 12 MONTHS

SUMMARY OF JOB:
The Project Manager will manage project execution on behalf of the company ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and achieving customer satisfaction. The immediate remit will be to manage a Glass Replacement Project.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To oversee the execution of projects to ensure profitability and quality. This includes:
 Project Scheduling
 Cash flow management
 Payment applications and Billings
 Contract and client management (including attending site meetings)
 Sub-contractor management (including preparation of contracts inclusive of scope of works, schedules and payment terms)
 Adherence to Safety requirements/standards
* To supervise project and direct site team and sub-contractors to ensure that standards of performance, quality, cost schedules and safety are maintained.
* To ensure that building regulations, standards and by-laws are enforced in project execution.
* To assume responsibility for all materials and equipment (on site or off) ensuring their integrity and safety at all time.
* To prepare purchase requisitions for equipment, materials or sub-contracts required for processing by other team members ensuring that all materials and services are procured in the most financially beneficial manner.
* To consult with clients, architects and engineers to ensure that design intentions are met and customer satisfaction is attained.
* To manage sub-contractor performance ensuring timeliness, quality and completion of the project and make recommendations for payment based on claims submitted.
* To maintain day to day liaison with all functional contributors (both internal and external) to ensure realization of their commitments in order that there is no negative impact on project execution.
* To compile project hand over documents inclusive of start-up sheets, product manuals and as-built drawings.
* To consistently adhere to all company and department systems and procedures so that operational efficiency and industry accepted quality are achieved.
* To produce weekly and monthly reports to apprise management of project status and communicate any problem areas/issues on a timely basis.
* To assess sub-contractors' ability to meet cost, time and quality guidelines in order to advise on suitability for future work.
* To efficiently execute any other related duties (within reason) that may be assigned from time to time.
* Promote safety awareness and the development of a safety culture within the company.
* Compliance with client policies.

Education:
Undergraduate Degree in applicable field
Master's degree or Project Management Certificate - an asset

Technology Proficiency:
Microsoft Office Suite

Experience:
3+ years as a Project Manager
