The Role:
As a key member of our client's Barbados Limited's Senior Management Team, the Finance Manager will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The Finance Manager will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, warehouse, procurement, customs and logistics.

INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
* Liaises internally with all Departments.

EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
* Liaises externally with Auditors, Government Agencies and Statutory Corporations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides leadership in the development for continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives
* Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programmes; strategies and regulatory actions.
* Provides executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
* Manages processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation.
* Manages costs related to the new project and product development.
* Identifies efficient and effective ways to manage overall production and operational costs.
* Manages processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company.
* Provides recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
* Ensures that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable Group and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
* Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company.
* Develops credibility for the Company by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets and financial reports that will assist the Board and other senior managers in managing their responsibilities.
* Prepares annual budgets, financial plans and interim forecasts.
* Manages strategically the accounting and finance functions, either through direct participation or via management of staff.
* Supervises, develops and motivates the human resources of the department by training, coaching, organizing, monitoring and appraising job results in accordance with the company's policies.
* Sets Performance Standards, Key Performance Indicators and conduct performance assessments for direct reports.
* Develops close relationships with budget holders in order to prepare monthly budgets, monitor and analyse income and expenditure, identify variances and negotiate appropriate remedial action.
* Carries out value for money studies as required.
* Manages cash to ensure best utilization of assets.
* Works with independent auditors.
* Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
* Performs any other related duties as required by the General Manager/Director.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Professional Accounting Designation e.g. ACCA, CGA is required.
* Minimum of ten years' experience at a managerial level including at least five years in a similar capacity.
* A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Systems.

KEY DELIVERABLES
* Ensure all stock counts are completed as scheduled
* Ensure controls are put in place to achieve accuracy of < 0.5 % variance as % of FG value.
* Submission of Management Accts/CFO report by ME + 5 days and all statutory reports/company filings on time
* Ensures employee performance appraisals and KPIs are finalized on time
* Maintain Zero NCRs from internal and external audits due to non adherence of ISO policies and procedures.
* Participates in the development and implementation of and performs all duties in accordance with procedures as per client Policies
