The Role:
Head of Sales - Capital Equipment - competitive salary, plus bonus, company car, holidays, laptop, pension, additional benefits

With over 100 years marketing their brand and product, this truly world leader in manufacturing and supply of capital equipment and special purpose machinery are now looking for an innovative and influential Head of Sales. Specifically to engage directly with the dealer and distribution networks sales teams. Working on key sales development, retention, including all sales channels and future strategic change.

Indirectly influencing over 200 sales people, impacting the strategy of attracting and hiring new talent; and collaborating with regional Sales Directors in the quest for continuous market share growth and sales improvements - the suitor to this role will need to bring with them a raft of skills and expertise in all areas of sales management and leadership as you will see below:

What will you be doing?

* Driving the collaboration and performance across all sales channels - new equipment, used equipment, aftermarket and financial services, to maximize revenue, EBIT and market share.
* You will a significant "role model" across the business, so you will be taking ownership of sales targets, performance, projects and company culture, and embedding this across the sales network.
* Aligning sales training requirements of the organization to best address the achievement of longer term business objectives.
* Playing an active role in the recruitment of the dealer networks sales teams, as well as induction support and new starter training.
* Ensuring the business is continuously up to date with the required tools in place to drive sales - trade shows, campaigns, exhibitions, social media, or other events.
* Taking complete ownership of the monthly forecasting processes, providing visibility of the sales funnel working to identify opportunities or risks, then leading these through to completion.
* Quarterly reviews will be led by yourself, working with the Regional Sales Directors to support them with their regions budget and sales target.

What we need from you?

* Experience as a key sales leader for a national or international team of Sales Managers in the B2B markets
* Multi-channel sales experience, with solid evidence of managing the overall sales funnel is critical
* Capital Equipment / Special Purpose Machinery industry experience
* Experience working with budgeting and forecasting
* Overall entrepreneurial spirit - sales, influencing, coaching, mentoring
* Collaborative approach

What would be an added value to the role?

* A successful sales history with material handling equipment
* International sales management and leadership - Europe ideal
* Speaking fluently a second European language
* Engineering or Advanced Sales degree
