The Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Advisor (NSW) to join our client's Open Cut Operations department.

Reporting to the Work Health and Safety Superintendent, this role will be accountable for coordinating, maintaining and enhancing safety and health management processes and systems. Working hours will be Monday to Friday on day shift.
Relocation is available.


* Development, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive WHS management systems.
* Facilitating Risk assessments, various meetings including WHS committee meetings
* Assisting with the implementation of health programs and new WHC safety initiatives
* Return to work and rehabilitation of injured workers
* Supporting ICAM investigations that may arise out of serious incidents
* Coordination and management of contractors including ensuring adherence to WHC contractor management standards
* Employee drug and alcohol testing
* Development and delivery of site wide safety briefs, alerts, notices and toolbox talks
* Preparing the Mine WHS reporting, this includes the monthly WHS report.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience in similar role within mining environment (Open-cut Mining experience & CHPP experience)
* Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related discipline
* Knowledge of WHS legislation and statutory requirements in NSW
* High level oral and written communication skills, particularly in delivering information and liaising with stakeholders
* Ability to deliver high quality work within required deadlines
