The Role:
Senior/Lead E,C & I Engineer - Projects - competitive salary, plus bonus, pension, additional benefits

At the forefront of technology within the traditional power markets; this iconic rotating capital equipment manufacturer, has been supplying innovative solutions to the power, energy, turbomachinery, marine and rail markets for decades.

After huge investment to their manufacturing, R&D and aftersales functions in 2018; the business are now well positioned to expand their offering with clients and as a result are looking for an electronic expert to be the lead in their E,C & I technical function.

This role is a new position and has serious attention from the senior leadership team, who are recognising that this position is critical in their project success

What will you be doing?

* Managing all E,C & I related technical duties on the project, supporting each function from design, specification, projects, IT, manufacturing, quality and aftercare
* Interacting with clients to solve E,C & I related queries/issues at the specification and design phase, as well as at handover
* Conducting 8D root cause analysis investigations and develop corrective actions for the future
* Using "DFMEA" on components and systems to identify and address design risks as well as determine validation needs
* Performing calculations to validate safety factors and strength reserves to satisfy product H&S requirements to CE directives
* Identifying affective solutions for ensuring the rotating equipment is able to interface with other equipment

What we need from you?

* Exceptional electrical/electronic experience, educational and work
* Recognised expert with Electrical, Control and Instrumentation
* Already active in a role within projects or design from any industrial engineering sector - this is not a position for someone who is a resident engineer on a site
* Already living and working in the UK

What would be an added value to the role?

* If your experience is within the marine sector and have experience working on projects interfacing the engine and its features to the ship
* Advanced degree in E,C & I
* Strong designing background focused on E,C & I
