The Role:
Key Responsibilities:

- Assess, review and interpretation of supply and service contracts to establish key objectives.
- Management of the project
- Plan for the contracts highlighting key inputs from various functional teams.
- Management and chairing of regular project reviews to establish progress tactical and strategic steps of the project plan.
- Assistance with the proposal definition and collation of information to support high value new prospects.
- To be the day to day point of contact for all key customers activities for projects you are in charge of.
- Receiving calls for customer problems and questions including warranty call-outs in and out of core hours.
- Arranging of engineering support at the customers location to solve any issues that arise.
- Making Regular customer communication to ensure complete satisfaction including face to face visits.
- Organisation and management of project activities on a daily basis, to ensure that everyone is fully aware of their daily work schedule and that routes are cost efficient in terms of time and resource.
- Monitor and reporting of any customer issues working closely with the quality, manufacturing, engineering and accounts.
- Arrange of spare parts to fix any field issues required.
- Non-Conformance work, arranging solution, ensuring completion and recording non-conformance.
- In addition liaise with the quality department to implement a long-term solution to minimise re-occurrence.
- Project Management of customer contracts ensuring quality, cost, EBIT and delivery targets are understood and met.
- Commercially aware to identify the requirement for variation orders - complete costings, obtain sign-off and then progress orders through customers.
- Identify additional sales opportunities - complete costings, obtain sign-off and then progress orders through customers.
- Participation in setting performance budgets and forecasts, and ensuring that actual performance meets budget and forecast expectations.
- To maintain good working relations with staff through effective communication.
- Review and maintenance of departmental procedures.
- Continuous development and improvement of Business Systems and Processes .

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Approximately 5 years project management experience gained from a variety of sources.
- Previous experience of large engineering projects, oil and gas contracting, the large diesel engine and or rotating equipment markets desirable.
- Knowledge of framework contracts such as for example LOGIC, NEC3 or FIDIC preferable but not essential
- Demonstrate skill around negotiation and management of supply and services contracts.
- Practical application or experience of contract / project management techniques with the ability to proactively influence either business growth and or existing contracts.
- High standard of numeric ability, able to understand costs, forecasts and budgeting with the ability to demonstrate cost estimating skill.
- An engineering, technical or manufacturing background
