The Role:
Are you a Supplier Quality Engineer with experience of PPAP and development/selections skills? Are you currently stuck in doing plant based quality because of downturn in the automotive industry?

One of our key engineering accounts are currently recruiting for a position to work as Supplier Quality Engineer to cover the UK with some overseas travel. Spending three days a week out of the office, you will play a key role in selecting the best suppliers for the business, whilst also ensuring that they are conforming properly to the high quality standards in the industry.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Process FMEA's throughout the potential supply base
- Assure all PPAPs are completed in a timely manner and that the documentation is accurate and correct
- Define and take ownership of all supplier activities related to rejections
- You will act as the point of contact for designated suppliers and ensure their products remain compliant
- Participate in or execute supplier audits and follow-up with an action plan
- Use your stake holder management and problem solving skills to find the root cause problems in a quick and timely manner

The Company:
Our client is one of the largest engineering business on the planet. They are well known for their product quality and the way in which they develop their staff.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience of working in a design for manufacture environment in a quality related role
- Proven background in supplier quality or supplier development across complex supply chains
- ONC/HNC/HND in an Engineering/Quality Discipline

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- A degree or a masters would make you stand out candidate for the position
- Chartered or membership to the CQI is highly advantageous
