The Role:
* Managing all commercial activities (purchasing strategy, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and technical reviews) within Thailand, to ensure procurement planning and execution are fully integrated with the business objectives and strategies.
* Reviewing current procurement policy and procedures to ensure that Procurement team members work legally, efficiently, professionally and with the highest ethical standards.
* Initiating and developing relationships with key major suppliers to attain sourcing targets and establish long term supply strategies with key suppliers. Managing the Thailand supply base to ensure the procurement of the lowest cost and highest quality materials to meet customer requirements.
* Achieving annual sourcing volume and cost saving targets.
* Managing the purchasing pipeline, and developing timely purchasing actions in support of new program launching, and, to meet cost & timing targets within Asia.
* Ensuring all parts are quoted / issued on contracts following global procurement guidelines.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or any related field.
Minimum 5 years experience in automotive components procurement required (stamping, tubing, castings, machined parts, fasteners, bearings, seals, driveshaft and half shaft), and 3 years management experience.
Strong leadership skills, business acumen and strategic planning capability.
Ability to work effectively in a cross functional and cross business environment.
Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Good knowledge of QS 9000, TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, as well as international purchase contract terms and legal provisions.
Good command of the English language, both oral and written.
Excellent PC skills.
