The Role:

* Provide support and assistance to the Site Supervisor/Foreman.
* Assist with control of 'Site' Installation activities, labour, materials and equipment.
* To ensure compliance with company specifications, plans and working instructions ensuring site and product compliance with quality, Health Safety & Environmental standards and current legislations.
* Where possible carry a Permit to work


* Ensure activities of the 'designated site' Installation team are carried out to meet the project objectives.
* Be able to interpret and work to Drawings, system diagrams, written descriptions and instructions.
* Be able to read and understand Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Crane plans, Health Safety & Environmental documents, etc to ensure compliance with current regulations and legislations.
* Assist in site audits, inspections and surveys.
* Share Installation knowledge and experience with others as required to ensure optimum safety and least cost for prospective and planned work whilst working within current regulations, legislations, customer's and client specifications.


* Work closely with other team members on matters of Health Safety & Environmental, welfare and conduct.
* Identify and inform Site Supervisors/Foreman regarding areas of improvement for Site working.
* Work under his / her, own initiative.
* Work to attain optimum performance within the associated areas of 'Site' activities.
* Assist and comply with client management control systems to ensure accurate and auditable project control.
* Assist and notify Site Supervisors/Foreman in reporting of 'designated site' activities, progress, issues and concerns.
* Ensure that the Site Supervisors/Foreman is informed of problems associated with assigned site projects.


* Recognised qualified trade, training and qualifications applicable to a mechanical fitter.
* SHEA gas (or willing to undertake a one day course)

* Previous site/installations experience on gas terminals or similar site
* Understanding of 'site' Health Safety & Environmental requirements.
* Communication skills with an ability to interact with people at all levels.
* SCO91
* Worked on sites using CDM regulations.
* Understanding of rigging equipment such as chain blocks, pull lifts and winches.
* Previous experience at or prepared to train for Offshore work.
* Basic team working skills.

* Out of hours, overseas will be required
* Full UK Driving Licence.
