The Role:
Working out of a world-class, Government R&D facility with a brand new tech company we have a unique opportunity for an Electronics Engineer who will work in an exciting R&D division to lead on design, specify, prototype and test new electronic hardware.
These products will change how the world interacts with its core infrastructure - ambition and drive, therefore, are key traits for the successful candidate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Preferred skills, qualifications and experience (all not required in order to apply but command of which are helpful to the applicant):
*Previous work experience in the UK water or energy sector
*AWS database management (RDS, S3 and EC2)
*Good/sound knowledge of Matlab, Solidworks, CAD and other modelling software
*Good/sound knowledge of networking technologies including, BLE, 4G and LPWAN
*Good/sound knowledge of materials science (specifically, polymers such as PE and PVC)
*Proficiency with a range of programming languages including .JS, Python, C++ and C#

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Necessary skills, qualifications and experience:
*Minimum of a Bachelor's in electrical/electronic engineering or related degree
*Proficiency in material selection, PCB design and manufacture
*Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
*Proficiency in sensor array design, signal processing and analogue-to-digital conversion
*Good/sound knowledge of printed electronics and printed ink formulations
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Creative, solution-based mindset
