The Role:
This person will be a key player in the Project Development team, and will be directly responsible for overseeing and coordinating all connection activities from gas generation assets through to connection to the grid and existing distribution networks across the UK. This will involve leading the connection activity from cradle to grave, including:

* Managing initial budget and full ENA applications to electrical DNOs
* Completing and submitting gas applications direct to gas DNOs or via UIPs or IGTs
* Reviewing, assessing and making recommendations on connection proposals received
* Assessing routes & identifying potential rights of way issues
* Negotiating offers with DNOs
* Tendering for works eligible to ICP's & UIPs
* Negotiating commercial terms and scopes with UIPs
* Managing DNOs, UIP, ICPs through development, design, delivery & testing phases

The Company:
Due to the on-going diversification of projects and the ambition to take advantage of the massive potential in the market, this business are going through an exciting period of growth that will allow them to support the current portfolio of energy assets, but also ensure the future growth of a portfolio that covers both gas generation and wind based assets.

They have plans in place to be a major energy platform in the successful identification, acquisition, development, construction and operation of a significant portfolio of energy assets across the UK & Europe.

Due to continued success in the growth and development of both the company and its assets, they are now looking to recruit a Connections Manager to support the successful delivery of current and future gas-generated energy projects across the UK.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a proven track-record and background in the successfully delivery of electrical or gas connection projects from tender through to commissioning, alongside the commercial acumen to negotiate directly with DNO, UIP & ICP's throughout.

* Preferable qualifications at degree level in construction, engineering, contracts etc. (Business qualification accepted where technical competence can be demonstrated)
* Hands on and time-earned industry experience with distribution network electrical or gas connections
* Sector experience in renewable or traditional energy generation
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple contracts & projects with multiple counterparties
* Contracts Management experience
* Demonstrate ability to manage more than 2-5 project/processes concurrently
* Full mobility - able to travel to work sites/meetings, UK wide
* Exposure to small/new start working environment an advantage
* Exposure to Project Financed projects &
