The Role:
Our client, a leading building envelope contractor are recruiting for a Business Development professional, experienced within the building envelope industry, to join the growing sales leadership team. with a focus towards developing business opportunities within the North of England and the UK

Based out of either the Birmingham or Manchester, the north of England region is a key strategic target for our client as such this is a great opportunity to be a key player in the on going success and growth of the region. With an outstanding reputation in place, a healthy work order book and an international parent company backing the tools are in place to succeed.

Key accountability's include;

* Create, develop and manage high level relationships with key individuals in existing and new clients.
* Confidently and professionally present the business to our clients and the market.
* Identify and track projects fitting the business strategy and capabilities, to create tendering opportunities.
* Define the bid strategy in consultation with other account holders and bid team, engaging the supply chain as required.
* Plan operational, design, commercial and planning engagement to suit the bid strategy for each project.
* Review the developing risk register to ensure that the team are reacting to the defined issues in a timely manner so as to ensure that the clients' requirements are being met.
* Maintain dialogue with the client and plan and lead any mid bid/operational review meetings deemed necessary in conjunction with the bid team.
* Lead client facing meetings following bid submission and manage the negotiation process.
* Developing his/her own relationship with suppliers/manufacturers in order to increase product awareness and to command key supplier relationships.
* Help define the businesses marketing strategy.
* Keeping up with our competitions market strategy and our clients aspirations.

Part of a large international group with a 31bn turnover, out client is a leading specialist building envelope contractor, operating across the UK, capable of providing complete solutions from design and planning to manufacture and installation. Turning over in excess of £250m, they are responsible for a number of iconic and visually impressive buildings across infrastructure, transport, building, sport & leisure & industrial sectors.
