The Role:
Executional operations geologist role

Interface with the planning teams (Exploration asset team in Dublin and London) via telecom-email

Hosting Operations Geology morning update calls (also with partners where necessary) with the Dublin/London technical asset teams and well engineering

Coordinate data transfer requirements to NOC-government authorities - field questions from authorities directly at meetings or indirectly via email on operations-geology

Coordinate wellsite geological team, paying particular attention to the quality of service provided

Coordinate wireline witness services in conjunction with the Operations Petrophysicist /Wireline Witness Lead and Reservoir Engineer.

The single point operations geologist contact between the rig (rigs) and the office asset planning teams in London/Dublin - functionally reporting into the senior planning operations geologist in London.

Available 24 hours a day if operational requirements dictate (logging-drilling-ops issues)

Ensuring G&G operational requirements are met

Coordinate contract wash-up meetings on wireline logging, LWD, coring and mud logging

Meet wellsite geologists - briefing - and key contractors for discussions on execution of activities

Making sure operational delivery consistent with government regulations (and partner expectations)

Interface with logging, mud logging, wireline witness and wellsite geology contractors

Liaise with wellsite geologists for morning, afternoon and ad hoc updates (delegate this where necessary)

Check operational content of well proposals and drilling programmes and implement - deliver against objectives

Liaise with contractors to assure cost savings and quality assurance of services - mud logging, wireline logging, LWD-data.

May on occasion be asked to attend stakeholder-government or partner technical-operations update meeting to brief on geological operations

Organising and participating in pre and post job meetings and pre-spud including DWOP and wash-ups

Quality Control geology related rig services

To attend and / or coordinate Performance Reviews for geology related service companies

Coaching, mentoring and training of any junior national staff (wellsite geologist and operations geologist nationals/juniors/trainees and any staff that might be rotating juniors as part of subsurface development programme

Direct liaison with partner operations geologists for non-operated operational update
