The Role:
As the Superintendent you will coordinate, plan and supervise project field activities daily for the project(s) assigned. You will meet with the Project Manager to plan and review material, labor and equipment needs to meet or improve the project schedule. You will conduct preliminary job site visits as necessary for job preparation. You will meet regularly with you manager to review the progress of the ongoing job and to discuss problems that are outside of you authority. You will be responsible for training workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and company policies.
Job Duties Include
* Reading and interpreting specifications and plans
* Determining requirements and planning procedures
* Examining and inspecting work progress and site
* Verifying safety and design specifications are met
* Meeting with subcontractors to ensure satisfactory job progress
* Ensuring all reports and records are completed in an accurate and timely manner
* Forwarding reports to the appropriate company personnel
* Supervising and coordinating activities of labor, subcontractors and deliveries
* Recording information such as personnel, production and operation data
* Analyzing worker and production problems
* Improving production methods or implementing motivational plans for review
* Conferring with managers and technical associates in order to coordinate activities
* Conducting and participating in safety meetings
* Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other personnel and management
* Represent self and company in a professional and positive manner
* Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion
* Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
* Conduct self in the presence of customers and community and always present a professional image of Company
* Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set
* Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
* Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
* Get along well with other and lead a team efficiently
* Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively
* Exercise sounds judgment and communicate well with a team, co-workers, management and clientele
* High school diploma or GED
* Associates degree in construction management or equivalent combination of training and work experience: (Plus)
* Experience in the Oil & Gas Construction Industry
* Previous management experience
* Strong knowledge of construction methods and industry applicable safety requirements
* Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
* Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
