The Role:
Leading a team that is responsible for;

* Completing the project accounting and project reporting process for their portfolio of projects
* Providing insightful monthly analysis and reporting on the performance against budget and forecasts in accordance to accounting periods (monthly, quarterly, full year)
* Contributing analysis, information and assistance as required by management as part of forecasting process

The Project Accounting team will be responsible for:

* Maintaining project-related records, including contracts and change orders
* Producing monthly cost reports for projects including reporting on project variances of actuals vs budgets
* Maintenance of the ledger integrity for projects (coding/WBS/descriptions)
* Completing month end close for projects which includes, revenue and profit recognition in line with percentage of completion methodology and based on the appropriate foreign exchange rates
* Maintain the project cashflow projections (monthly, quarterly, financial year and full life.
* Execution of tax advice on the various projects, liaising closely with the tax department
* Sales invoicing and debtor management including billed and unbilled progress reporting
* Check monthly costing sheets and accuracy of monthly project accruals
* Check reasonableness of expenses allocation by projects
* Maintain and ensure the integrity of intercompany billing to projects maintenance of balance sheet components specific to projects (accruals, unbilled and etc)
* Responsible for weekly/monthly updates on potential losses and adequacy of project accruals etc.
* Perform reconciliation between actual costs to costing model to ensure cost are properly recognised
* Check final project accruals with cost controller and make necessary adjustment in accounts
* Analyse project variances and submit profitability reports to management
* Ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, ACA, CPA) is compulsory.
10 years experiences overall in O&G industry, with 5 years experience in oil & gas upstream project accounting or cost controls or similar capacity.

* MS. Office (Excel, Words)
* SAP Accounting System
* International tax
* Construction contracts
* Oil & Gas contracts
