The Role:
The Business Development role is responsible for the sale of wellhead and associated services/ equipment to new and existing customers within their assigned territory.

Candidate must have experience in either selling wellhead equipment or in sales of equipment or services to DRILLING ENGINEERS AND/OR DRILLING MANAGERS (Drill bits, tubulars, directional services, etc.)

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
-Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company products
-Penetrate targeted accounts
-Overcome objections of prospective customers
-Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales reports.
-Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
-Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling if necessary.
-Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory/customers in a time-efficient manner.
-Use marketing data to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
-Maintain accurate records including reports, including but not limited to, weekly expense reports, sales reports, CRM data, etc.
-Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
-Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services by monitoring competition through the gathering of current marketplace information on pricing, products, competitor activities, and other research.

Essential Qualifications / Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in business/marketing or related field preferred; or equivalent of three years' experience in progressively responsible sales position
-Knowledge of wellhead equipment is preferred
-Network of customer contacts within South Texas Region
-Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
-Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance.
-Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management.
-Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
-Exceptional verbal communication, presentation and listening skills.
-Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
-High level of integrity and work ethic.
-Must be organized and possess good time management skills.
-Strong verbal and written communication
-Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
