The Role:

Are you fed up of reading another job ad by yet another recruiter that starts it off by saying "our client" or "we have an exciting opportunity"?

Thought so...

I promise this won't be one of those, but it is something a little different.

First things first let's address the elephant in the room; the salary range, because I can hear you now: "Ben that's quite a range, do they know what they want exactly?"

To be honest the answer is yes and no, but hear me out.

I've been working with these guys on multiple hires across the business from January 2019 but I've known the CTO for much longer. We started off the search originally for a "junior" level DevOps engineer in March but as the company has grown over the past couple of months and the level of developers and other tech people that have been brought in to the team, the DevOps role has also evolved to keep up = the joys of working in a start-up ;)

So we are now looking for the more Senior end of the DevOps scale and whilst we are on scales, DevOps I believe has it's own scale. If you work in DevOps how I see it is: you're either from a Sys Admin background that has a passion for scripting and coding or you're a Developer who is interested in deployment and network operations, for this role you'll need to be the latter, but I'm always keen to be proven wrong = Challenge ON.

You'll be tasked with the mission to help automate mission-critical processes to allow the company to scale and scale quick, personable, self-motivated, adaptable are all key things we look for in our lightly-managed start-up environment. You will also be the "go-to" person for all things DevOps.

You will be working from the comfort of your own home 4 days of the week whilst meeting up with your team once a week in either London or Cambridge (all travel costs are paid for). You will be joining a small but growing, highly talented and multinational team, we have guys from Italy, America, Poland, Hungary as well as England.

So if you like the idea of being the "go-to" DevOps engineer in an exciting IoT start-up, working from the comfort of your own home within a multi-national team then I have a few options for you:

Option #1

Somewhere on this page there will be a "apply now" button click that and follow the steps.

Option #2

Book a call in my calendar direct to discuss the role at a time that works for you: calendlyDOTcom/bendonkin - I do work outside of these hours so don't worry if you can't see a time that fits for you.

Option #3

Search for me on LinkedIn "Ben Donkin (DONKS)" (trust me there aren't many) connect or ping me a message over and let's get talking.

Do 1, do 2, do all 3, whichever works best for you.

Look forward to speaking soon.

Peace and KitKats,

Ben / Donks
