The Role:
to ensure that detailed engineering conforms to the designs, layouts, specifications etc. provided from project office as well as to Russian design codes and regulations, Gost and Snips, in order to gain regulatory approvals.

Strategic functions:
* Manage and oversee the detailed engineering functions of the EPCM contractor at the value centre office;
* Manage the multi discipline Owners Team engineering group in the Poland office;
* Ensure detailed engineering complies with layouts, project specifications, Russian design codes and regulations Gost, Snips, developed by the Vancouver office;
* Ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables to peer groups in accordance with the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a detailed engineering deliverables list with EPCM engineer;
* Develop engineering deliverables schedule in accordance with the project schedule;
* Monitor and manage the engineer to comply with the project schedule;
* Review and ensure the technical aspects of detailed engineering are in compliance with project requirements;
* Hold regular design review meetings with the EPCM engineer, approve design documentation; resolve problems;
* Manage the detailed engineering phase within the authorised budget;
* Manage the Owners Team engineering group and ensure that discipline members are controlling their respective discipline both technically and with respect to schedule and budget;
* Provide weekly bullet point reports and full monthly reports to project management;
* Coordinate with peers in contracts, procurement, construction, home office engineering in Vancouver, and Moscow office for regulatory approvals;
* Participate in supplier selection process to provide technical input as required and ensure that technical requirements are met by the selected supplier;
* Ensure that project documentation is stored securely and effectively in accordance with the project requirements.

The Company:
Our client - International Company specialised in mining of copper and the development of new copper mining projects is looking for a Project Engineer to manage on behalf of the Owners Team all aspects of detailed engineering in one of the top 10 undeveloped greenfield copper projects globally, located in the Far East region of Russia.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualified Engineering degree;
* Previous experience managing an Owners multidiscipline engineering team;
* Minimum 15 years' experience in the large project engineering industry;
* Experience in the mining / petrochemical industry would be advantageous but not essential;
* Previous experience on projects located in extreme cold weather climates;
* A knowledge of Russian design codes, regulations and approvals process is desired but not essential;
* Language: English speaking, reading and writing;
* Some Russian language skills, is desired but not essential.
