The Role:
Are you a Programme Manager with experience of liaising with customers to ensure the finished product meets demand? Do you have a solid background in managing governance and supporting the delivery of high level military programmes?
If so, then a role working for one of the largest defence businesses in the UK/Europe could well be worth applying for. This high level senior management position, is a crucial appointment for the business and you will be working at the forefront of defence technology.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Helping with the preparation of bids for programmes
- Estimating programme management costs and reviewing allocated incoming work
- You will report on the programme status on a monthly basis
- Travel across the whole of the UK and also overseas (occasionally) to visit customers
- You will communicate programme details across the whole of the group
- Take action to minimise the risk of the programme over running on budgets
- Attend weekly shipping and purchasing reviews to agree actions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- A recognised project management qualification (APMP, Prince2 etc)
- A degree in project management or engineering would make you a stand out candidate for the role
- Excellent stake holder management skills and customer centric mind-set
- The ability to be able to present to senior directors/C level members of the team
- You must be able to pass full UK security clearance
