The Role:
Are you a Senior Quality Engineer looking for a new role in the aerospace and defence industry? Have you come from an electro-mechanical environment, with an understanding of ISO9001:2015 quality management systems?

If so, then a role working for one of the most sought after employers in the defence industry could well be worth applying for. This key hire for my client is a hands on role where someone with a genuine interest in quality will thrive.

key responsibilities of the role include:

- You will attend design reviews and meetings as the subject matter expert in all aspects of QA
- Raising, leading and reporting on all 8D quality investigations
- Help to conduct supplier and internal audits
- Act as the product quality authority across all business units
- Support with all quality system activities
- Working with high level military customers who demand optimum product quality standards

Our client is one of the largest names in the defence and aerospace industry. They are a highly profitable business who have a healthy order book and offer superb career progression opportunities for enthusiastic engineers.

Given the nature of what my client manufacture, you must be eligible to pass or hold full UK security clearance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience of working in an electro-mechanical engineering environment
- Proven experience of working in a quality engineering role (ideally in the defence/aerospace)
- Knowledge of quality management systems around IOS9001:2015
- You will lead auditor trained to ISO:9001 standards
- An understanding of new product introduction techniques

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ESD protocols
- Experience of IPC610, IPC620 would be a huge advantage
