The Role:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional with experience in an unlisted growth business, looking for a role to develop their financial planning and analytical skills and to gain involvement in corporate finance transactions, with a view to progress their career within a growing organisation. The post holder will report to the Chief Financial and Commercial Officer and will work closely with both the Finance team and with the Commercial team.

In a highly active and growing business, developing in multiple directions in terms of products, partners and geographies, this role will be key to the development of understanding of the commercial/ investment case for competing priorities for funding and resources. It will support bids, pricing and winning of contracts and will be the centre of financial risk management for new business activity.

Objectives of role:

*Work closely with the Finance team to provide financial modelling and commercial analysis for new business projects.
*Financial modelling to support the bids, contracts.
*Portfolio and benchmarking analysis.
*Partnering with the business and speaking with clients advising / working with to win and discuss new contracts

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualified accountant with experience with the development of practical and sophisticated financial models.

*Experience of producing financial analyses and models for external due diligence review by third party accountants.
*Strong imagination and ability to analyse practical situations and to be able to model them in a practical way.
*Used to disciplines such as change control, assumptions books and other qualities required in populating data rooms for corporate finance transactions.
*Outstanding practical knowledge of Excel, where required able to manipulate large data sets and analyse them accurately.
*Strong communication skills - the success of this role will be in the ability summarise and support conclusions drawn from data analysis and modelling succinctly and effectively to all levels of staff, from Board/ shareholder downwards.
*Eagerness to learn.
*Ability and desire to speak with and partner with multiple stakeholders including influencing.
