The Role:
Are you a Supplier Quality Engineer looking for a new challenge working a large multi-national manufacturing company? Are you a Quality Engineer wanting to expand your skill-set and spend more time out auditing suppliers and using the latest quality tools to resolve issues?

Working as part of a growing team the successful applicant will play a key role in the development of all aspects of supplier performance and conduct audits to improve rejections throughout the entire supply chain. Regular travel across the world will be an important part of this position, so flexibility on this is absolutely key to the success of the position.

Responsibilities of the role include:

- Working closely with the purchasing and quality functions of the business in order to ensure that supplier performance is regularly monitored and reported on
- You will work to resolve supplier issues in a timely manner to ensure that corrective actions are implemented quickly and effectively
- Driving a zero defect mentality across the supply chain will be key to achieving set objectives from your line manager
- Using core quality tools such as 8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA PFEMA, PPAP

The Company:
Our client are a leading manufacturer of bespoke equipment for various safety critical industries including defence and aerospace

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience with relevant quality management systems including ISO9001, AS9100 or IATF16949
- Knowledge of quality core tool is a must for this role (8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, 8-D, DFMEA PFEMA, PPAP) etc.
- Excellent communication skills are a must as you will be presenting to senior leadership on a regular basis
- You must be proficient with both mechanical and electrical engineering drawings

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Being a trained lead auditor would make you a stand out candidate for the role
- Understanding project and programme management would be preferred
- A lean six sigma qualification up to green or black belt would be advantageous
