The Role:
Key focal point within the Project with specific accountability to:

* Perform the role of a 'project manager' for the package in question.
* Deliver the procurement package to meet the project requirements in terms of budget, schedule and quality.
* Ensure that the package is executed in line with Company's procurement strategy from PO and post order management to final delivery close-out.
* Be accountable for the successful delivery of the assigned complex technical challenges.
* Understand the technical requirements of the package
* Consult, train, coach, supervise and mentor other members of the Project Procurement Team.
* Develop project procurement procedures and documents; authorize purchase orders for a variety of commodities, services, and equipment in close cooperation with the Company Project Team and Company subcontractors.
* Manage the purchase order process ensuring that all commercial, legal and technical queries are resolved and that changes in Purchase Order scope, quantity and/or price are approved in accordance with Company procedures.
* Ensure that Suppliers meet or exceed Company and international quality and project standards, including documentation, workmanship, cost and schedule.
* Manage the package interface with the Supplier and ensure Supplier's activities are in line with project priorities.
* Develop Supplier quality awareness and ensure that quality controls are performed correctly.
* Liaise with the Project Quality Team to ensure adequate and timely inspections are performed during the procurement process.
* Expedite execution of Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery, including support of logistic activities.
* Participate in procurement and related project meetings.
* Maintain Project Procurement Plan and consult with Engineering and Project Management on required purchases.
* Support Company Project Team in delivering the Project HSSE objectives by demonstrating a personal commitment & leadership towards HSSE.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* BSc Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or equivalent.
* 7 to 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably for projects in Oil and Gas Industry.
* Strong negotiating skills; familiarity with standard terms and conditions.
* Business fluent in English.
* Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Superior ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment; with both a sense of both urgency and thoroughness.
* Willingness to travel.
* Professional, positive, and energetic attitude; excellent interpersonal communication skills: ability to relate well to contacts inside and outside the organization.
* Proven ability to build rapport easily and foster productive business relationships.
* Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* CPM Certification or equivalent is a plus.
