The Role:
* Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Support all HSE Activities / Initiatives
* Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
* Participate in Behavioural Based Safety (BBS).
* Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives through reaching out and communicating with Contractors Staff and trades personnel.
* Compliance with Ethics policies.
* Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
* Reporting on a day-to-day basis to the Lead Architectural Engineer
* Interaction, facilitation and coordination with key information providers and stakeholders including the Fabrication Contractors, the Fabrication Delivery team, Engineering and Commissioning / Turnover teams
* Training/knowledge of specific software being used by Client
* Key activities:
1. Provide local Engineering support to Construction group
2. Drive design change implementation process during construction
3. Provide accurate and concise field reports of problems during construction phase requiring resolution by site Engineering team
4. Negotiate, agree and set specific targets to achieve overall goals
5. Prepare and communicate reports showing current status and areas requiring improvement
6. Identify design issues causing construction issues and suggest possible resolutions to site engineering team
7. Ensure project is constructed in accordance with design drawings
8. Provide Engineering support to resolve Construction issues with input from central Engineering team
9. Review and prepare dispositions in Non-Conformance reports

* Understand KPI targets and monitor progress and have a perspective towards the contractor focus on meeting targets

The Company:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (3 years+) role for ARCH/COATING/INSULATION Field Engineer to be part of a World Class Development.

The role will be based in Okpo, Geoje Island on an Local basis (No Visa Sponsorship Available) and will report to the Reporting to Construction Manager - Geoje for this World Class Project
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
With an engineering degree or senior technician background and or with significant experience in a complex engineering, commissioning or fabrication environment, the successful candidate will be able use his or her own initiative under general guidance from local and remote functional management.

* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
* The ability to successfully collaborate within a multi-cultural environment
* Strong experience working in a fast-paced environment
* Good knowledge of the engineering process
* Prior experience supporting major modular construction projects in Korean shipyards
* Strong experience with BS EN design requirements and suggested construction methods for architectural cladding panels
* Strong understanding of Construction Quality requirements and inspection methods as they relate to implementation of a design
* Good understanding of construction methods/requirements for insulation and coating systems used on major Oil

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Preferably a good understanding of the Company systems being used on an Oil and Gas Major Capital Project.
* Previous Chevron/ XOM experience Previous experience performing Detailed or Production Engineering design for modular projects
* A minimum of 10+ years of construction experience with a proven ability to work with contractor personnel.
* Commitment to HSSE Leadership, mentoring and coaching
* Proven ability to work and produce results with very limited supervision
* Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spread sheets and electronic presentations
* High critical thinking/reasoning ability
* Effective communication skills at all levels
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
* Previous Korean Yards Experience required
Previous Chevron/ XOM experience desired
