The Role:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Demonstrate visible leadership of safety initiatives,
* Contribute to the LiHS, BBS, and other project OE/HES initiatives, safety walks, and regular field engagements (BBS, Leading Indicator metrics) to reinforce positive behaviors and provide constructive feedback for at-risk behaviors. Use and reinforce Stop Work Authority as appropriate.
* Ensure site execution in compliance with project HES plans and procedures.
* Ensure site execution in compliance with quality plans and procedures.
* Support further development/improvement of OE/HES initiatives at the yard.
* Participate in HazIds, risk assessments, incident investigations, and other safety programs as needed to support safe and quality execution of the work.
* Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
* Compiles and issues weekly / monthly status reports.
* Understand the requirements of the contract schedule and look ahead plans.
* Understand KPI targets and monitor progress and have a perspective towards the contractor focus on meeting targets.
* Assess and report on appropriateness of fabrication contractor manning levels and resources applied to shop and field activities.
* Responsible for the progress monitoring of a group of PAR deliveries.
* Daily contact with Fabrication Contractor supervision forming good relationships keeping company yard fabrication manager informed of all points above.
* Review and comment on build methods, lifting procedures and method statements for the most expedient approach.
* Develop excellent working relationships with Company and Contractors teams assisting Fabrication Contractor in all his endeavors and objectives observing quality codes and standards.
* Maintain high standards of attitude and behavior throughout the site and offsite acting as a role model for younger members of staff and local employees.
* Ensures work is in conformance with plans, specifications and schedules.
* Monitor and reports work activities and manpower requirements to meet established completion dates, monitors craft personnel levels, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules.
* Active participation in mechanical completion.
* Responsible for the safe/on time delivery of specific scope components. Monitors Contractor's implementation of Fabrication plans and procedures in accordance with the Project Execution Plan.
* Primary contact for construction and collaborative team member at the work group level. Multi-discipline construction SME for PAR fabrication and erection activities. Lead engagements with Contractor's Construction Superintendents for the fabrication and erection of Pre-Assembled Racks (PARs) for Project through sail away.
* Coordinates Contractor's development of detailed plans and procedures (e.g. - constructability, work packages, Safe Work Method Statements, PTW, etc.), level 5 execution schedules, etc.
* Monitors and supports Contractor's Fabrication activities and interfaces with Company's engineering, procurement, logistics with systems completion and operations disciplines.
* Support a positive team, project, and Company reputation through positive visible representation with all stakeholders.
* Provide constructability and schedule impact from DCNs, TEAs, deviation requests, material substitution or late delivery, etc.
* Provide daily project record and weekly reporting of key events and milestones within area of responsibility. Document significant communications with contractor and external groups.
* Ensure implementation and maintenance of Contractor performance metrics for fabrication and erection to ensure delivery according to project schedule, procedures and specifications.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10 to 15 years of foreign experience with a proven ability to work with contractor personnel in a mentoring/developmental role
* Degree / Diploma (completed post-secondary or higher education) - this can be substitute with relevant operational experience
* Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
* Skills demonstrating the capability to run a large project
* High critical thinking/reasoning ability
* Effective communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
