The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Contracts Specialist for general admin support, for a long term contract

Location: Hampshire
Working Pattern: 9 day fortnight - 9 hours per day, every other Friday off
Duration: on-going contract
Day rate: TBC

The Contracts Specialist will provide general administrative support to the Contract's Team, including processing payment applications, reporting and maintaining logs and schedules. The administration of Project simple contracts to ensure compliance with the Contract Terms & Conditions, technical requirements, project procedures and Company policies. The Contracts Specialist will be expected to work on their own initiative and judgment on work of the appropriate complexity.

Accountable for:
This position reports to the Contracts Advisor F & F. The Contracts Specialist will act as support to the contracts team, ensuring:

* All Contract administration is completed
* Communications with Contractors is in accordance with Company policy and procedures
* Contractor payment applications are processed on time and in accordance with policy

Tasks will include, but not be limited to:
* Acknowledge receipt and preliminary review of Payment Application Estimates (PAE) and Payment Applications (PA)
* Verify billing period and check format of PAE, PA and back up sheets.
* Check no double-pay
* Check pricing rates for each line item is consistent with the contract and check calculations and completeness of PAE/ PA
* For Lump Sum and Unit Price Contracts; verify progress in consultation with receiver of the service in accordance with ICAP.
* Route PA and PAE to project controls, Ops Team and others as appropriate
* Record discrepancies and establish deductions or additions to be applied.
* Check Certified sum does not exceed authorised value and complete payment certificate and route for approval.

Minimum Years of Industry Specific Experience: 2
Minimum Years of Total Experience: 5

Required Skills/Attributes:
* Will be able to work in a team environment and work along with Contracts and Functional and Freight Management requirements and tasks
* Demonstrate a strong analytical approach to problem solving
* Previous document and information management experience
* High level of competence in Excel
* Strong communication skills; must be able to work to strict deadlines and provide detailed reports
* Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative
* Team player, able to propose better ways of collaborative working

Preferred Skills/Attributes:
* Previous experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry desirable

Comments: passport/visa requirements etc
* Right of residency and able to work in UK
* EU passport and able to travel worldwide if required
