The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Contract Advisor for a long term contract within Kazakhstan

Location: Tengiz
Rotation: 28x28
Accommodation: Camp based
Flights Provided

The main purpose and target for this position: This position shall be responsible for managing and coordinating contracting activities associated with electrical power distribution, fiber optic cabling and Core Sub-Stations. The position shall be required to manage multiple contracts comprising both international and local Kazakh companies. The combined scope currently has an estimated contract value of $500 million.
Must be familiar with:
Contract formation and post contract award administration in large capital projects
Demonstrated experience successfully executing contracting procedures (especially change orders and the RWE/CWE/AWE process) for large major capital projects, including experience working with senior legal counsel. Demonstrated international major capital project experience in formulating bid packages and contract documents for all contract types. Demonstrated experience successfully administering contracts with leading international contractors in large oil and gas capital projects.


Job functions and responsibilities
Manage the post contract award administration and commercial activities associated with multiple contracts to ensure contractor's performance and deliverables meet project and requirements with respect to Tengiz site power distribution.
Provide support to the contract formation team with respect to the development of contracting strategies and plans associated with all aspects of site power distribution, the issue of bids, the management of supplier clarifications, evaluation and negotiation activities, and preparation and coordination of contract documentation for award. Ensure contracts are awarded in accordance with the Project Schedule.
Supervise, mentor and coach Kazakh national staff to continually improve contracting knowledge and skills.
Monitor compliance and/or completion of all required IIF initiatives and compliance training, which shall include but shall not be limited to office ergonomic assessments, RSI Guard, BBS observations, corporate compliance et cetera.
3Provide advice and guidance to Power Delivery and Asset Management as required; propose potential changes or amendments to improve overall project performance.
Provide counsel with respect to all aspects of contract governance which shall include but shall not be limited to assisting with the annual contracting plan and support as required in Contract Review Committee ("CRC") meetings.
Identify, implement, and report cost savings and value creation initiatives with the Delivery Team throughout the life of the contract to manage project costs in a potentially ongoing low oil price environment.
Establish and maintain interfaces with key stakeholders which shall include but shall not be limited to: Site Construction; Base Business (SCM), CEPS et cetera.
Promote and drive the 'Capture of Lessons Learned and Key Risks'.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION
Education Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Science preferred.
Work experience: Minimum of ten ("10") years direct experience in contracts administration and formation on large capital projects.

Fluent in English, both oral and written. Russian language skills would be an advantage.
PC knowledge and skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
