The Role:
Position Details:
The Contracts Specialist will provide general administrative support to the Contract's Team, including and not limited to maintaining cost reporting / payment logs and schedules and checking of Contractor payment claims. Contractual administration to ensure compliance with the Contract Terms & Conditions, technical requirements, project procedures and Company policies. The Contracts Specialist will be expected to work on their own initiative and judgment on work of the appropriate complexity.

Accountable for:
This position reports to the Contracts Advisor F & F. The Contracts Specialist will act as support to the contracts team, ensuring:

* All Contract administration is completed
* Communications with Contractors is in accordance with Company policy and procedures
* Contractor invoices and timesheets are processed on time and in accordance with policy

Tasks will include, but not be limited to:
* Monitor and review correspondence arising from work to detect and assist on Contract issues.
* Maintain all contractual documentation using the project directed electronic and hardcopy filing systems
* Review of cost Submissions submitted by Contractor in line with Company procedures
* Support of Project Cost Reporting Functions
* Support Contract Advisor in the monitoring of Contractor billing status
* Enforce Contract and Project Contracts related rules - Is aware of Contract and Project governance rules and provides notice to Contract Owners or Contracts Advisors of any contract value increases that may affect governance values
* Maintains good relations with the Contractors in Farnborough office through attending regular meetings with stakeholders to assist in the resolution of Contracts issues
* Assist in obtaining information from all relevant sources, formulate solutions and recommendations, and works to distribute information as required to all pertinent stakeholders

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Required Skills/Attributes:
* Previous experience within Freight Forwarding essential
* Will be able to work in a team environment and work along with Senior Management requirements and tasks
* Demonstrate a strong analytical approach to problem solving
* Previous document and information management experience
* High level of competence in MS Office: Word, Powerpoint and Excel
* Strong communication skills; must be able to work to strict deadlines and provide detailed reports
* Ability to work unsupervised using own initiative
* Team player, able to propose better ways of collaborative working

Preferred Skills/Attributes:
* Previous experience of logistics and planning desirable
