The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Lead Instrumentation Engineer for a long term contract position within Kazakhstan

Location: Tengiz
Rotation: 28x28
Accommodation/Flights: Provided
Day Rate: TBC

The overall objective of this position Provide leadership to the Instrumentation and Controls Engineering discipline engineers in support of execution utilizing philosophies and specifications developed for the Project . Provide oversight of the Instrumentation and Controls Engineering organization, and provide technical expertise and guidance. Ensure technical queries are addressed with accurate and timely responses. Provide technical support and problem-solving for project construction and systems completion activities related to instrumentation and controls. Develop strong collaboration and communication with Project Teams, construction contractors, vendors and other Project and functional Teams and other Engineering and fabrication sites. Exhibit leadership in accordance with behaviours and principles.

Must be familiar with:
RoK statutes and regulations
Engineering Design Practices, Processes, and Procedures
International fabrication and construction of onshore facilities and facility equipment
Oil and Gas production facility design, construction, and operation

Must have the skills to:
Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English language and ability to communicate via translator with non-English speaking personnel
Able to work as a leader and a interactive member of multi-cultural discipline team
Read, understand and communicate project's codes and standards, drawings, specifications and contract documents
Highly motivated individual who is capable of working independently and leading a high performance team
Interfaces among various project teams and departments on issues relating to the position. This requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration
Establish and instill high standards regarding quality, accuracy, thoroughness, teamwork, and proactive problem solving

Education
Higher Education in a relevant technical field - minimum bachelor of science
At least 15 years' experience in Instrumentation and Controls design, engineering and construction projects in oil and gas industry - specific experience with complex instrumentation and control systems. Minimum of 5 years in a supervision role.
International experience with contractors and vendors during design and construction of onshore oil and gas processing facilities
Language skills
English and demonstrated ability to communicate via interpreter in other languages
PC knowledge and skills Intermediate or advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for:
Proper and timely performance of his/her job functions Maintenance of workplace discipline, performance standards and compliance with occupational safety and health requirements.
Integrity of company records and compliance with data privacy requirements in respect of any information received in the performance of his/her job functions.
Compliance with internal regulatory documents, company policies and procedures.
Prompt communication to an immediate supervisor regarding any potential or identified risks to company business.
Avoiding property loss or damage caused to the company by his/her action or inaction related to the performance of his/her job functions.
