The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a mechanical HVAC QC inspector for a long term contract within Kazakhstan

Location: Tengiz
Rotation: 28x28
Accommodation/Flights: Provided
Day Rate: TBC

To implement of QA/QC procedure and test Inspection Plan for the
project. To ensure that the work is done as per approved Construction
drawings, Specifications and Standards as set forth in the contract
Responsible for the complete Quality Control Plan, Procedure and Test
Inspection Plan for HVAC and MECHANICAL
Responsible for QA/QC monitoring witnessing on installation, HVAC
Equipment and Welding of above ground Process Piping
Responsible for QA/QC reviewing of contractor NDT reports such RT, PMI,
Daily surveillance activities include welding consumables, welding
equipment, inspection equipment, mechanical inspection activities in
rotating equipment, HVAC Installation, non rotating equipment levelling /
alignment, Non Destructive Testing Inspection and supervision associated
with Quality Control in Construction activities
Carry out Supervision on line checks on critical system during punch listing
activities, maintain Inspection records, QC records , work procedure
approvals, NDT reports procedures and personnel qualification
Monitoring all fitting/welding activities performed in the project including
piping and supports piping
Review on pressure test/Hydro test packages of line in accordance with
P&ID and Isometric drawings
Review all contractors' equipment installation ITP's and method
Inspect HVAC equipment foundations and verify survey results
Check and supervise inspection of layouts and installations of HVAC
equipment such as chillers, AHUs, Filters, Louvers, Scrubbers, VAV's
Packaged and Split AC's, Pumps, Fan Chillers, Coolant Piping, Refrigerant
Piping, Hangers and Supports, including all duct work to ensure
compliance with design
Prepare non conformance
and surveillance reports applicable to Piping/
Mechanicals, HVAC installation work
Witness all HVAC tests including verification and calibration of electrical
instrumentation and safety devices
Supervising the contractor in the compilation of the handover and test
packs together with all as built
Issuance of Non Conformance
Reports for materials and works that are
not in compliance with industry standards, codes, specifications or
Coordinating with the various contractors to ensure that the approved
QA/QC procedures and the Quality Plan are implemented during
inspection activities
Witnessed hydrostatic tests on valves (body and seat), pipe spools, piping,
pipelines and pneumatic tests on pipes supports, reinforcement pads,
Annular and Roof plates of Tanks; evaluated Hydrostatic, P&ID & Safety
Instruction Sheets to assure that the correct pressure was used and that
relief valves were properly set and installed
Ensure that documentation is being completed, signed off, and compiled
as the work progresses so as to support turnover and record retention
activities at the project site
Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives
Analyse and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to
problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or
project objectives and guidelines
Organize and prioritize a variety of assignments and multiple tasks in an
effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanicals Engineering with minimum 10 to 15 years
experience in Inspection of HVAC works for Oil & Gas Construction Projects
Inspectors shall have knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001: quality
system requirements and implementation.
Must have excellent understanding of welding, weld symbols and weld
inspection per the applicable welding Codes
Experience in welding inspection or fabrication of piping and vessels to
international codes (ASME, AWS)
Candidate Inspectors shall have a demonstrated background and thorough
knowledge of codes such as ANSI B31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME section I,
and other piping system installation related codes and standards.
Able to lead by example and communicate with all levels of
Craft/inspectors and Supervision
