The Role:
* Review the Pipeline Scope of Work, Schedule and Engineering Contractor's Cost, Time and Resource (CTR) loading and communicate any discrepancies to the clients Engineering Manager.

* Ensure all project information related to design, procurement and construction is accurate and timely, meets the relevant standards and specifications and is made available to the project team in line with the required schedule.

* Complete activities pertinent to pipeline risk analysis, evaluation, remediation and integration of data.

* Review and communicate progress and performance status to the clients Engineering Manager, flagging any potential slippage and areas of concern.

* Review and approve all required Pipeline design documentation produced by the Engineering Contractor, and ensure that relevant stakeholders provide input to the design at each stage of the project.

* Ensure key stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering) are effectively engaged at all phases of project development specific to Pipeline Design. Work with Engineering Contractor, Regulatory Affair and Expertizing Contractor in preparation of Technical Project Documentation (TPD) to obtain necessary approvals for Construction permits.

* Ensure engineering drawings and design packages are issued by the Engineering Contractor as per the project plans to support subcontracting and construction needs.

* Ensure design packages are transmitted by the Engineering Contractor to enable the timely planning, contracting and efficient field execution.

* Ensure applicable engineering standards and practices are followed on all project work.

* Provide engineering assistance to the project planner and estimator on questions related to Pipeline materials, scope definition, and construction activity planning.

* Apply appropriate Value Improving Practices (VIPs), gather and apply lessons learned, best practices. Ensure designs support clients Environmental Stewardship intents.

* Participate in Design Reviews, Cold-eye Reviews, Model Reviews, SID Reviews.

* Prepare Pipeline Construction Scope of Work for Construction Contracting.

* Participate in the evaluation of vendors technical bid submissions. Prepare Material Requisition if required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in any engineering discipline.

* Minimum 10+ year experience with the engineering, design and construction of Oil & Gas pipeline systems including pipeline anchor blocks, pipeline crossings and pipeline tie-ins.

* Full working knowledge of the industry accepted current pipeline engineering softwares for engineering and design. Able to analyze software input, output, results and conclusions.

* Oil & Gas industry experience is mandatory.

* FEED experience is mandatory.

* Field Gathering System experience is mandatory.

* Extreme cold climate design experience is preferable.
