The Role:
Support proactive and collaborative working relationships with Project Teams and site Construction Contractors to ensure adherence with COMPANY technical requirements and applicable codes.
Verify the work is built and tested in accordance to the approved drawings and testing procedures.
Monitor witness and hold point inspections during construction and/or assembly in accordance with the CONTRACTOR's ITP.
Conduct surveillances to provide early warning of potential quality problems; ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed.
Confirm Construction Contractor testing equipment is calibrated and parameters are properly recorded and documented.
Monitor implementation of company, project and sub-contract HSE policies and procedures
Attend and witness testing associated with piping. Typical tests include, but are not limited to NDE of designated components, hydrostatic, pneumatic, surface preparation and coating application.
Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work.
Ensure Construction Contractors verify materials (pipe and fittings) prior to fabrication to check it with project standards and specifications.
Verify materials are correct, properly stored and applied.
Verify coatings/PFP equipment and facilities is adequate for the work and calibrated when required.
Verify compliance to Project Quality Plan, specifications and standards.
Monitor progress of all quality, inspection and testing activities against contractor and sub-contractor ITP's.
Provide technical competence and quality/inspection verification of work conformance to Project requirements.
To review the applicable paint system compatibility.
To review and witness the qualification of the Sand Blasters/Painters.
Review and verify coating/fireproofing/insulation records for accuracy and content.
To ensure the readiness of the QA/QC requirements are met before start of painting/coating/PFP application.
Monitor and report blasting operations to include chloride tests, checking of blast profile and surface cleanliness and
Monitor and verify the calibration/validation of Sand Blasting/Painting Equipment and tools.
Monitor and verify the Air Temperature, Dew Point, Relative Humidity.
Monitor process controls for all coating, insulation and fireproofing works.
