The Role:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (2 years+) role for an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to be part of a World Class Development.
The role will be based in Ulsan, Shinhan on an Expat basis (Visa Sponsorship Available) and will report to the Reporting to Lead Discipline Project Engineer - Korea for this World Class Project
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Support all HSE Activities / Initiatives
* Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
* Participate in Behavioural Based Safety (BBS).
* Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives through reaching out and communicating with Contractors Staff and trades personnel.
* Compliance with Ethics policies.
* Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
* Reporting on a day-to-day basis to the Lead Project Engineer
* Interaction, facilitation and coordination with key information providers and stakeholders including the Fabrication Contractors, the Company Delivery team, Engineering and Commissioning / Turnover teams
* Training/knowledge of specific software being used by Client
* Key activities:
1. Coordination of Field Engineering activities in DSHI Fabrication yard to meet Module Delivery Team expectations
2. Maintain technical interface with Engineering Discipline Leads located in Okpo and ensure aligned execution between both sites
3. Ensure safe execution of all critical operations in DSHI Fabrication yard
4. Timely resolution of construction issues during module fabrication campaign
5. Ensure field queries are promptly escalated back to Discipline Leads in Fabrication yard, if required.
6. Resolve Fabrication Contractor field queries related to inconsistent, inaccurate or suboptimal design information
7. Review and approval of relevant Fabrication site procedures
8. Establish Client working culture and execution environment for Engineering team members in DSHI
9. Drive local engineering resources to produce successful project execution

The Company:
A multi-national Oil and Gas Operator involved in a World Class Expansion Development being fabricated in Korea.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
* The ability to successfully collaborate within a multi-cultural environment
* Prior Engineering leadership experience working with Company assurance team located within yard or another major Korean fabricator's facility
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Experience reviewing engineering design and communicating technical corrections effectively to Contractor's engineering team
* Detailed understanding of applicable industry standards (AISC, ASME, etc) with demonstrated experience resolving construction issues in a field environment
* Good knowledge of the engineering process
* Strong appreciation for the quality requirements needed in manufacturing drawings on a large-scale oil and gas project
* Excellent understanding of technical drawing content and what is required to effectively communicate a design
* Demonstrated knowledge of technical requirements for heavy lift/haul operations
