The Role:
* Support all HSE Activities / Initiatives. Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
* Leadership dimensions in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS), Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives through reaching out and communicating with Contractors Staff and trades personnel.
* Compliance with Ethics policies.
* Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
* Supports fabrication team to deliver scope to safely and efficiently execute commissioning scope
* Strong awareness of schedule and delivery of scope to meet overall project milestones
* Coordinate with de-stack team to ensure swift execution of scope before module sail.
* Establish daily contact with Fabrication leadership and develop productive and supportive relationships.
* Maintains effective schedule reporting control functions of the project and ensures adherence to these practices.
* Establish daily contact with Fabrication Contractor supervision forming good relationships.
* Develop excellent working relationships with Company and Contractors teams assisting Fabrication Contractor in all his endeavors and objectives observing quality codes and standards.
* Maintain high standards of attitude and behavior throughout the site and offsite acting as a role model / mentor for younger members of staff and local employees.
* Monitor and report work activities and manpower requirements to meet established completion dates, monitors craft personnel levels, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules. Understand KPI targets and monitor progress and have a perspective towards the contractor focus on meeting targets
* Support input to the weekly / monthly reports
* High levels of critical thinking and strategic planning to offer execution flexibility
* Ensure the complete and thorough completion of Mechanical commissioning scope in readiness for module sail
* Develop a complete and comprehensive dossier of any transition scope and ensure full knowledge transfer of any scope to Kazakhstan team
* Develop commissioning MS's and scope test packs associated with fabrication yard commissioning
* Identify and develop details of temporary facilities and test equipment necessary to complete the scope
* Ensure vendor requirements are clearly defined to support scope execution and efficiently manage vendors on site when called out
* Ensure MCPlus database is correctly populated and scope assigned to correct sub-systems ahead of field execution. Work with the MCPlus team and other disciplines to ensure necessary changes are performed via approved MoC process
* Support the PTW authorization for all Mechanical scope recognizing SIMOP impacts to other groups or disciplines
* Manage the implementation of field change through defined site query process
* Ensure robust procedure is in place for modifications to protection settings coordinated through engineering
* Lead the commissioning specialists and technician pool to deliver high quality, safe and efficient execution
* Identify key issues or problems early and provide options for resolution and work arounds

The Company:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (3 years+) role for Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to be part of a World Class Development.

The role will be based in Okpo, Geoje Island on an Local basis (No Visa Sponsorship Available) and will report to the Reporting to Mechanical/HVAC Lead - Geoje for this World Class Project
Responsibilities include but are not limited

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10+ years of experience performing Mechanical commissioning planning and execution
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (not essential - experience and work history is also appropriate)
* Effective communication skills
* Strong organizational and leadership skills
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner understanding overall project goals
* Previous Chevron/ XOM experience desired (not essential)
* Ability to lead teams across different locations with the consistent expectations and execution application
