The Role:
Critical technical skills and experience: Four year engineering degree is required. Experience developing and evaluating Phase 4 detailed designs, including coordinating input from multiple disciplines required.
Experience executing a Phase 4 MCP in a project engineering role in the engineering contractor's office.
Previous experience working with vendors and Procurement to supply and deliver material, equipment, and packages. Ability to identify and mitigate vendor Quality and delivery risks.
Construction/Fabrication and system completion experience is strongly preferred.

Project Management: Decision-Making-Demonstrated MCP experience in a project professional role such as project engineering is required. Proven experience in leading, working and communicating with a multi-functional
team including Engineering, Fabrication, Construction, and Procurement. Phase 4 MCP experience executing projects in a project engineering role is strongly preferred. Must be able to work independently to solve issues. Fabrication, construction, or commissioning experience is a plus.

Leadership Teamwork and Communication: Demonstrated leadership ability to deliver results through a cross-cultural, multi-functional team with multiple interfaces is required. Experience coordinating work across multiple geographic centres. Strong influence skills are required to get results through teams/individuals who are not direct reports. Proven ability to concisely communicate status, issues, mitigations, and successes to stakeholders and senior management .

Package Engineer - Mechanical/HVAC:
The Package Engineer will be the single point of ownership and accountability for delivering mechanical/ HVAC vendor packages to the fabrication and construction work sites that meet cost, schedule, quality, and SID requirements. The Position is based in the Contractor's main engineering office in Farnborough, UK. The position requires coordination with multiple teams to deliver the packages: Engineers, Buyers, Expeditors, Project Engineers, Area Planners, Quality, Preservation, SID,
Materials Management, Logistics, Legal, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Construction, and Fabrication. The package engineer is responsible for providing direction and leadership to the package team consisting of Buyer, Expeditor, Requisition Engineer, and Quality Coordinator, even though these positions do not report directly to the Package Engineer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the vendor issues documentation in time to meet the project engineering schedule. Expedite vendor as needed to meet delivery dates.
- Establish relationship with the vendor and assist them by removing roadblocks that impact the vendor schedule
- Work with the vendor to identify risks and mitigations that threaten the vendor schedule
- Ensure the vendor schedule is aligned with the project schedule
- Coordinate with the engineering SID team to perform vendor reviews at the right time so the vendor design and fabrication meets SID requirements
- Coordinate with Quality to ensure inspections are occurring and NCR's are being closed.
- Provide leadership to package team to delivery packages on time with no carry over work. Coordinate with Engineering and Logistics to ensure all documentation is closed out so shipment can occur.
- Provide leadership to the various teams/personnel involved with package delivery to drive decisions so the vendor can progress
- Coordinate with Fabrication and Construction to develop mitigations for any equipment or package that may be late to site. Frequent communication with Fabrication and Construction on equipment delivery
- Frequently attend vendor shops for pre inspection meetings, progress meetings, FAT's, and final inspections.
- Develop fortnightly report of package status and issue to all stakeholders to demonstrate visibility of issues, mitigations, and delivery ETA dates.
