The Role:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (2 years+) role for an experienced Piping/Structural Field Engineer to be part of a World Class Development.
The role will be based in Okpo, Geoje on a Local basis (No Visa Sponsorship available) and will report to the Reporting to the Fabrication Construction Manager- Okpo for this World Class Project

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Support all HSE Activities / Initiatives. Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
* Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives through reaching out and communicating with Contractors Staff and craft. Participate in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS).
* Compliance with Project Ethics policies, Role model the Project way.
* Adheres to Project Execution Procedures and processes.
* Understand the requirements of the contract for the Piping and Structural Fabrication Scope of Works inclusive of all aspects including schedule.
* Ensures work is in conformance with specifications, plans, schedules, and contractual agreements.
* Training/knowledge of specific software being used by Project
* Reporting on a day-to-day basis to the Lead Piping & Structural Engineer

* Key activities will include but not limited to:
o Provide Engineering support for Piping/Structural to Construction group
o Ensure project is constructed in accordance with design drawings
o Identify design issues/ discrepancies for Piping/structural causing construction issues and suggest possible resolutions to site engineering team
o Resolution of constructability issues with Structural installation & piping inline items, standard pipe supports, NSPS and MDS supports
o Preparation of fabrication resolution proposals for endorsement where necessary by the central engineering team.
o Review and Prepare Dispositions on Piping/Structural non-conformance reports (NCR)

* Coordinate with Project Piping and Structural Engineers, Piping/Structural coordinators, Piping/Structural superintendents, QC Piping Inspectors for all Piping/Structural engineering activities including procedure, schedule, quality standards, communication, reporting, etc.
* Monitor the status of Piping/Structural fabrication engineering activities e.g. status of failure and deviations, corrective actions required, performance and progress of the activities.
* A minimum of 10+ years of construction experience with a proven ability to work with contractor personnel.
* Commitment to HSSE Leadership, mentoring and coaching
* Proven ability to work and produce results with very limited supervision
* Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
* High critical thinking/reasoning ability
* Effective communication skills at all levels
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
* Previous Korean Yards Experience required
