The Role:
* Support all HES Activities / Initiatives and participate in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS).
* Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives.
* Compliance with Ethics policies.
* Participate in technical audits conducted by site QA
* Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
* Inspect instruments equipment upon receipt
* Be prepared to get familiar with the QC reading list.
* The QC Instrumentation Inspector will be responsible to supervise all inspections and instrument installations.
* Verification and monitoring of contractor and sub-contractor's quality control activities for Instrumentation QC Instrumentation installation during module fabrication/erection.
* Review all contractors' QC Instrumentation installation ITP's and method statements and verify contractor is following method statements.
* Issue and control nonconformance reports when needed
* Inspect installation of all instrumentation on vendor package equipment such as instrument spec checks, terminations and final inspection
* Inspect instrument installation including pre-installation visual checks, installation, tubing installation, signal cable installation and cold loop checks.
* Inspect installation of all instruments including; clearances, correct support configuration, internals installation and final closure.
* Verify all instrumentation is inspected after completion to ensure all components are per the drawing and report deficiencies on the punch list
* Monitor and verify instrumentation preservation
* Liaise with Construction, Completions, and Engineering Supervisors on instrumentation quality matters.
* Ensure all QC procedures and process controls are being implemented within all areas relating to instrumentation items.
* Supervise witnessing of all tests including installation of tubing and pressure testing
* Monitor and inspect final testing in coordination with the contractors Instrumentation inspector
* Conduct reinstatement walk down and log outstanding items on the punch list
* Liaise with client and RA to coordinate ITP activities in accordance with documented and planned requirements
* Supervise review and verify manufacturing records for accuracy including as built drawings
* Provide daily, weekly, fortnightly progress reports to the fabrication team as required.
* Inspectors shall be familiar with the international industry codes and standards related to Intrinsically safe systems and electrical systems for instrumentation such as; ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12., ANSI MC96.1, IEEE 518, IEEE 1100, IEC 60529, NEMA ICS 6, NEMA 250, NEMA VE 1, NEMA VE 2, NFPA 70/NEC and UL 94.

The Company:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (3 years+) role for QC Instrumentation Inspector to be part of a World Class Development.

The role will be based in Okpo, Geoje Island on an Local basis (No Visa Sponsorship Available) and will report to the Reporting to QC Lead Instrumentation Inspector - Geoje for this World Class Project
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10+ years of experience with a proven ability to work with contractor personnel.
* Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
* High critical thinking/reasoning ability
* Effective communication skills
* Be prepared to mentor the Quality Inspectors.
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
* Must be able to work well within a diverse large multi-cultural jobsite.
* Must be a high initiative, high energy inspector, able to work well with little supervision.
* Effective communication skills
* Tertiary/trade qualifications in a related discipline
* Previous Korean Yards Experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Certified Instrumentation Inspector Master (CEI-M) or equivalent
* Degree / Diploma or equivalent in Instrumentation engineering - this can be substituted by relevant operational experience
