The Role:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (3 years+) role for an QC Mechanical Inspector to be part of a World Class Development.

The role will be based in Okpo, Geoje Island on an Local basis (No Visa Sponsorship Available) and will report to the Reporting to Quality Manager - Shinhan for this World Class Project
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


* Support all HES Activities / Initiatives
* Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
* Participate in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS).
* Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives.
* Compliance with Ethics policies.
* Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
* Reporting to Quality Manager -Shinhan Yard
* Verification and monitoring of contractor and sub-contractors quality control activities for module fabrication
* Verify compliance to Project Quality Plan, specifications and standards
* Monitor all aspects of Quality Control relative to mechanical equipment during the construction in order to ensure adherence to the COMPANY technical requirements and applicable codes, including SID (Safety In Design).
* Demonstrate working knowledge required for the execution of the inspection work including but not limited to the following equipment: pumps, motors, skids, valves, compressors, fired heaters, auxiliary equipment, packaged equipment piping systems, vessels and tanks
* Verify that all testing procedures have been approved and are on site. Confirm testing parameters are duly recorded and testing equipment is calibrated
* Monitor progress of all quality, inspection and testing activities against contractor and sub-contractor ITP's
* Ensure all QC procedures and process controls are being implemented within all areas of the fabrication site and project
* Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work
* Provide technical competence and quality/inspection verification of work conformance to Project requirements
* Liaise with client and RA to coordinate ITP activities in accordance with documented and planned requirements
* Review and verify manufacturing records for accuracy
* Monitor implementation of company, project and sub-contract HSE policies and procedures
* Provide weekly, fortnightly progress reports to the fabrication team
* Contribute inputs into the QC Module Team
* Demonstrated background and knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ASME, ANSI, NACE, AWS, ASN, SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA, API, etc. and testing equipment including Positive Material Identification test equipment required for the inspection of mechanical commodities.
* Tertiary/trade qualifications in a related discipline.
