The Role:
The overall objective of this position:
Provide leadership to the Rotating Equipment Engineering discipline in support of execution utilizing philosophies and specifications developed for the Project and client. Provide oversight of the Rotating Equipment Engineering organization, and provide technical expertise and guidance. Ensure technical queries are addressed with accurate and timely responses. Provide technical support and problem-solving for project construction and hook-up activities related to rotating equipment. Develop strong collaboration and communication with Project Teams, construction contractors, vendors, and other Project and client functional Teams in Tengiz, Atyrau, Houston, Farnborough and other Engineering and fabrication sites. Support equipment testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities. Exhibit leadership in accordance with company Way behaviors and principles.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English language and ability to communicate via translator with non-English speaking personnel.
* Able to work as a leader and a interactive member of multi-cultural discipline team.
* Read, understand and communicate project's codes and standards, drawings, specifications and contract documents.
* Highly motivated individual who is capable of working independently and leading a high performance team.
* Interfaces among various project teams and departments on issues relating to the position. This requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.
* Establish and instill high standards regarding quality, accuracy, thoroughness, teamwork, and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities:
* Proper and timely performance of his/her job functions Maintenance of workplace discipline, performance standards and compliance with occupational safety and health requirements.

Job Functions & Duties:
* Manage the Rotating Equipment Engineering discipline to ensure the project's technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget, and schedule.
* Ensure timely development, review of Mechanical equipment technical queries and design development documentation.
* Monitor Contractor and Sub-Contractors' performance and ensure compliance with clients design philosophies and specifications.
* Support technical interfaces, including those with Engineering Design Centers, Construction, Contractors/Sub-Contractors, Commissioning, and Company Base Business.
* Engineering support of vendor representative activities on site.
* Engineering support for Site Execution Teams including Construction, Quality, Commissioning / Start-up, Turnover, etc.
* Support Site Engineering continuous improvement efforts including capture and incorporation of Lessons Learned.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Work experience:
* At least 15 years' experience in Mechanical Equipment design, engineering and construction projects in oil and gas industry - specific experience with complex rotating equipment. Minimum of 5 years in a supervision role.
* International experience with contractors and vendors during design and construction of onshore oil and gas processing facilities.
