Duties will include:
* Playing an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed
* Remain knowledgeable and supportive of all safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner and, while supervising others, has responsibility for their safety and ensures that they comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits. This includes participation in our Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program and full support of the project's Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives.
* Comply with Ethics policies.
* Adhere to Project Execution Procedures.
* Responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of plans and execution activities of day to day heavy lifting and transportation activities, including rigging, lifting, the stacking of large process modules and the heavy transport of major equipment items and modules from source to destination, including positioned within tolerance on foundations.
* Coordination with other construction support organizations to furnish required support services
* Be observant to assess the safety of all other project lifting and transport activities encountered day to day and to take responsibility to stop work or otherwise remedy any deficiencies observed.
* Plan and perform work in accordance with the project schedule.
* Ensure that work is carried out strictly in accordance with project safety standards and industry best practices.
* Ensure that all engineered plans / studies incorporate all field conditions that may impact execution, and that they are undertaken in a skilled and professional manner.
* Review and assess contractors lifting and transport personnel, ensuring that the work is performed to the highest standards.
* Review, assess and approve rigging, lifting and transportation studies, including method statements and risk assessments.
* Participate in the preparation of Lifting Management Systems to comply with local regulatory requirements and clients Rigging & Lifting Manuals and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements
* Engineering degree or a recognized academic qualification in mechanical or civil engineering or equivalent technical project experience
* Typically has 6-10 years of project experience in construction in the oil & gas industry
* Experience and interest in heavy lifting and transport activities during the construction of a major project.
* Competent in the fundamental principles and experience in field execution of pre-assembly, lifting and transportation of large modularized equipment.
* Skilled in the understanding of technical principles, practices, and methods for lifting and transport operations.
* Comprehensive knowledge and experience of advanced processes, techniques, and procedures.
* In-depth understanding of Lifting Regulations and Standards pertinent to the country of operation.
* Minimum of 6 years experience in the Oil and Gas or petrochemical industries with experience of lifting, transporting and installing heavy equipment, this should also include an engineering role in conjunction with actual execution of the work.
* A combination of hands-on and technical experience in the design, operation and maintenance of lifting equipment.
* Strong interpersonal with the ability to communicate at senior managerial levels.
* Experienced in the preparation and delivery of detailed presentations to asset managers and stakeholders.
* Skilled in people management, developing individual goals, mentoring and team alignment.
* Excellent organizational and planning skills.
* High-performance orientation with close attention to detail.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to plan and organize a varied and busy workload to meet targets.
* Skilled in the application of legal and company requirements relevant to the planning and safe execution of lifting operations.
* Computer literate in PowerPoint /Excel & Word programs.
* Experienced in developing and preparing rigging studies and transportation studies using computerized drawing aids / programs, (AutoCad). Although not specifically a prerequisite this would be extremely advantageous.
