The Role:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (3 years+) role for an experienced Senior Piping Engineer to be part of a World Class Development.
The role will be based in Okpo, Geoje Island on an Expat basis (Visa Sponsorship Available) and will report to the Reporting to Lead Piping Engineer - Korea for this World Class Project
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Support all HSE Activities / Initiatives. Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards.
* Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives through reaching out and communicating with Contractors Staff and craft. Participate in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS).
* Compliance with TCO Ethics policies, Role model the TCO way.
* Adheres to Project Execution Procedures and processes.
* Understand the requirements of the contract for the Piping Fabrication Scope of Works inclusive of all aspects including schedule.
* Ensures work is in conformance with specifications, plans, schedules, and contractual agreements.
* Primary job function is investigation and resolution of Piping field issues in support of the module fabrication team and project delivery schedule.
* Delivery of this primary function will include but not limited to:
o Design office experience, with understanding of inter-discipline interface and associated deliverables
o Complete understanding of P&ID's and piping /Instrumentation inline items.
o Review design changes (DCNs) submitted by design team against fabrication planning
o Assess Line list testing parameters for compliance to ASME B31.3 and NFPA and address differences with Design office
o Review painting and insulation parameters as stated in line list versus Insulation and painting specification
o Review DSME installation/Erection isometrics against AFC Isometric, for completeness, incorporating ALL known design changes (P&ID changes, Line List, isometrics etc..)
o Review, comment and approve Contractor documents submitted
o Resolution of discrepancies among vendor drawings, engineering deliverables and equipment.
o Liaise between Construction, QC Inspectors, to resolve installation issues with verification as required with Client Piping Engineer
o Ensure piping and valve preservation and cleanliness procedures are satisfied (assist Preservation team)
o Ensure piping installation satisfies project design and ASME B31.3 requirements, through to mechanical Completion
o Liaise between Commissioning and Start Up (CSU) team to align with Commissioning needs
o Preparation of fabrication resolution proposals for endorsement where necessary by the site Engineering team.
o Review and Prepare Dispositions on Piping non-conformance reports (NCR)
o Review Hydrotest packages for differences between DSME installation isometrics, interfaces between Vendor packages and AFC isometric (SPR/Navisworks and P&ID), including known Design Changes identified (PCNs, DCNs)
o Track and follow up identified construction issues to close out.
* Coordinate with Client Piping Engineers, Piping coordinators, Piping superintendents, QC Piping Inspectors for all Piping engineering activities including procedure, schedule, quality standards, communication, reporting, etc.
* Monitor the status of Piping fabrication engineering activities e.g. status of failure and deviations, corrective actions required, performance and progress of the activities.

A multi-national Oil and Gas Operator involved in a World Class Expansion Development being fabricated in Korea.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Proficient with the use of ASME B31.3
* Application of Piping industry standards (ASME, ASTM etc.)
* Proficient with the use of Navisworks, Aveva Marine, McPlus
* Experience with Piping Quality Control (preservation and pipe testing requirements)
* Language English both written and verbal.
* Physical ability to work at heights and within confined spaces.
* Physical ability to work outdoors throughout the year.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10+ years of construction experience with a proven ability to work with contractor personnel.
* Commitment to HSSE Leadership, mentoring and coaching
* Proven ability to work and produce results with very limited supervision
* Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
* High critical thinking/reasoning ability
* Effective communication skills at all levels
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
* Previous Korean Yards Experience required
