The Role:
The project is a further expansion of the Tengiz gathering system including well pads, metering, and pipelines in low pressure operation after the startup of Future Growth Project, a major expansion of clients oil production capacity.
Client requires a Senior Planning Engineer with more than 15 years of experience in Major Capital Projects (preferably Brownfield - onshore projects) .
This position is based in Tengiz to support Senior Planning Engineer in monitoring all contractor's schedules for all Construction Scopes (Civil Work Construction Contracts, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation [MPEI] Installation Contracts, Pipelines Contract, Overhead Power Line / Fiber Optic installation and Commissioning). Primary roles are

- Support integration of approved Contractor baseline schedules into the Primavera P6 Level 3 Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and interface frequently with Senior Planning Engineer located in Atyrau to provide bi-weekly updates into IMS
- Lead all planning weekly/monthly meetings at site, providing insights of progress, productivity, forecast and lookahead activities
- Interfaces and participates in existing Base Business (BB) SIMOPS process reporting out on planned project activities. Reports out on interfaces and activities that impact project schedule. Makes recommendations to mitigate impact and maintain project schedule.
- Interface with project and client BU Planning teams at site
- Maintain relevant Schedule / Productivity Dashboards for all Construction Contracts (i.e SPI, Earned Schedule, Variance Analysis, Float monitoring, etc)
- Engage Constructor's planners to provide feedback on performance relative to schedule baseline, S-curve baseline and manpower plans
- Identifies, assesses, reports deviations from plan and suggests mitigations
- Assesses the impact of contractor's schedule changes, establish productivity trends and evaluate against Project's critical path and all key construction deliverables
- Monitors and evaluate resource allocation and productivity; provide recommendations to maintain planned progress.
- Works with site Senior Cost Engineer to assess potential changes and impacts to support the MOC process.
- Interfaces with project cost personnel to ensure schedule alignment with cost models and support Earned Value Analysis, CAPEX phasing and Forecasting
- Performs site verification of Contractor's progress (as required) to support planning and forecasting process.
- Support Site Manager and Business Services Site Manager on analysis and reports required by Management.
- Support full implementation of Project Production Management (PPM) and Project Production Control (PPC) of assigned scopes
- Ensures Contractor's Project Controls Plan and Planning and Scheduling Procedures are consistent and aligned with Company's Project Controls Plan
- Mentor development of a national planner
