The Role:
Joining a Multi-national team based in one of the World's Largest Fabrication yards, this is an exciting long term (1.5 years+) role for an experienced Site QC Manager to be part of a World Class Development.
The role will be based in Okpo, Geoje Island on an Expat basis (Visa Sponsorship Available) and will report to the Fabrication Quality Lead - Korea for this World Class Project

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Support all HSE Activities / Initiatives
* Observe for unsafe acts / unsafe conditions and raise observation cards. Participate in Behavioral Based Safety (BBS).
* Fully support and participate in all Injury and Incident Free (IIF) initiatives through reaching out and communicating with Contractors Staff and trades personnel.
* Compliance with Ethics policies. Adheres to Project Execution Procedures.
* Actively participates in the Incident and Injury-Free (IIF) program for the Module Fabrication location
* Field based position, not a desktop role
* Reporting to Fabrication Korea Quality Manager
* Ensures fabrication sites adhere to company and regulatory Quality standards and guidelines
* Report to Management on Quality Management performance. Identify areas for improvement, assist / implement improvement recommendations, and promote quality awareness.
* Assist in the development of strategic and tactical Quality Plans in support of the Quality Management Elements. Actively participate in the generation, review, verification and implementation of Contractor Quality Plans.
* Implement and coordinate use of the Quality Management standards at local locations
* Educate and provide guidance to project personnel in Quality management system and procedures and acts as the Quality focal point for the project in the Yard.
* Address daily Yard QA/QC issues and report key findings to management
* Coordinate reviews and comments during the development phase of Technical Specifications (TS) and Quality Specifications (QS) global templates
* Coordinate customization of global TS and QS templates for inclusion in procurement documents (Contract specific TS and QS) as applicable to operations
* Facilitate Contract TS and QS implementation process, steward ongoing evaluation, assess compliance and monitor ongoing performance improvement
* Advise QA/QC requirements for local manufacture and repair. Monitor implementation to ensure compliance
* Initiate and monitor quality event reporting. Steward implementation of the Quality Event Database, its reporting system and controls for Goods and Service. This shall include local Contractor supplied Goods and Services
* Coordinate equipment failure investigations / Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and conduct Corrective Action verification as required
* Conduct and coordinate Contractor assessments on Services and Service related Goods Contractors. Report findings to management identify and recommend areas for improvement.
* Conduct internal assessments to assure compliance to Project Quality procedures
* Verify that Goods Preventive Maintenance, Inspection and Test Programs (PMITP) and Inventory maintenance inspections are in place
* Responsible for facilitating the development and effective implementation of the Project Quality Management system by the Project Team and contractors
* Develop, maintain, and lead the execution of the Project Quality Management Plan for assigned Project, and manage the development and maintenance of any supporting plans, procedures, forms etc. Oversees the development of approaches and solutions to Quality-related issues, summarization of findings, and recommendation of strategies to prevent recurrences; supervises proposals and the implementation of a course of action approved by the Project
* Supervises the preparation, maintenance, retrieval, and communication of records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring the application of Quality Management standards and goals
* Other related duties/functions as required

The Company:
A multi-national Oil and Gas Operator involved in a World Class Expansion Development being fabricated in Korea.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* A minimum of 20+ years of QA/QC experience with a proven ability to work with contractor personnel
* A minimum of 10+ years of Fabrication Yards Quality Expatriate Experience
* Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
* Skills demonstrating the capability to run a large project
* High critical thinking/reasoning ability
* Effective communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
* Previous Korean Yards Experience
