The Role:

In this role you will be responsible to support the Lead Spares Cataloguer in the implementation of the Spare Parts Acquisition Plan and assist with execution of the associated work processes. The role will primarily involve review of supplier spare parts data, cleansing, enriching and cataloguing of the data ensuring it meets the requirements of the project standard modifier dictionary and ensuring adequate spare parts are available to meet project schedules.

Responsibilities include the following:
* Support Spare Parts Management Lead and Lead Spares Cataloguer in the execution out of Spare Parts Acquisition plan.
* Coordinate timely review of Supplier Spare Parts and Interchangeability Records (SPIR) forms to validate data quality and data standards.
* Cleanse and enrich supplier spare parts data in company Spare Parts Management System.
* Catalogue spare parts strictly in accordance with company standard modifier dictionary, Noun, Modifier, Attribute format.
* Continuous communication to the business to assure Item Master data conforms to company standards.
* Avoid duplicate information and ensure information quality.
* Ensure standardisation of parts.
* Support/coordinate data upload process and resolve potential discrepancies.
* Ensure all required approvals are in place
* Coordinate spares information is provided on time to meet schedule requirements, including critical start up spares.
* Management of all documentation to maintain good traceability and ensure compliance
* Run all relevant Spare Part Management System (SPMS) reports and take appropriate action to address any errors
* Assigns new or existing item codes to all spare parts
* Support Spare Parts Management Lead in the SPIR review with Operations and Maintenance
* Runs reports as required to meet customer and management needs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Significant experience in Material Cataloguing in the Oil and Gas Industry.
* Significant experience in Cataloguing Materials in a Noun, Modifier, Attribute format.
* Familiarity with the spare parts normally used in the Oil and Gas process industry and should be able to create descriptions from a physical item, or from a partial description.
* Experience of using Spare Parts Management software.
* Able to capture relevant information from supplier catalogues, drawings and other reference documents to ensure quality material master descriptions are created.
* Understand the significance and promote the benefits of material standardisation.
* Previous experience managing and coordinating spare parts preferably on large Capital Projects or Materials Operations in Oil and gas industry.
* Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in groups and one-on-one interaction for effective presentations.
