The Role:
Job Description (The main roles and responsibilities for this position)- Department Lead/Delivery Manager to complete):

* Review and witness qualification of Welding Procedures (WPS/PQR) and Welder Qualification Test Records
* Monitor site welding activities for conformance to project specifications and procedures Analyze weld reject rate to determine root cause and take necessary actions to eliminate
* Provide technical direction in support of welding inspection personnel
* Provide supervisory support and technical direction to weld inspectors to resolve issues and initiate documentation as required
* Research and review codes such as but not limited to; ASME, ASTM, API, AWS, GOST
* Review contractor Hydro test packages, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports, Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), Method Statements, Material and Data Submittals, Request for Information, CV's/Resumes or acceptance
* Witness third party inspection on various destructive / non-destructive testing such as charpy testing, positive material identification (PMI), hardness, and tensile testing
* Review and witness works on "Golden Welds", tie-ins and hot-taps for compliance with project specifications and codes
* Provide supervisory support to Non-destructive Examination Welding System (NEWS) Coordinators and Contractors with code requirements and data review
* Participate in focused audits and resolve findings related to welding activities
* Perform readiness audit at site and shop welding facilities
* Review and develop project procedures for welding activities
* Implementation of and support of project welding program
* Generate weld data tracking reports as required using Microsoft Access, Word, Excel or other specified programs
* Establish and support proactive and collaborative working relationships with Project Teams and site Contractors.
* Coordinate and influence Project Quality Teams with best practices and monitor the consistent application of the Project Quality Management System.
* Work with a proactive approach to preventing quality issues through review and improvement.
* Evaluate new developments in the welding industry for possible application to current welding situations
* Ensure Quality issues are effectively communicated with the respective Project Team and provide support to determine appropriate solutions.
* Facilitate the consistent application of the structured Construction Quality Surveillance Programme.
* Review Contractor deliverables against project requirements as and when required.
* Provide QC support to all Project Teams and conduct surveillance/ witness testing in accordance with approved ITPs, as required.
* Identify and record quality related lessons learned, and, propose suitable corrective actions to improve work processes and prevent further undesirable conditions/ situations.
* Review procedures for testing/examining components with the optimal method and techniques.
* Analyse and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
* Support all Project IIF and HSE Activities / Initiatives.

Job Requirements (Key skills, qualifications, years of experience, education, etc for this position)- Department Lead/Delivery Manager to complete):

* CSWIP, 3.1 Level 2 Weld Inspector, Vessel Asset Integrity
* ASNT level 2, for NDE Methods for Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Ultrasonic's, Radiography
* Extensive knowledge of Industry Standards involving both Structural and Process Piping construction; Welding practices and procedures; and the relevant NDT Standards involving conventional & exotic alloys that include Stainless, Duplex, High Chrome materials.
* Track record of quality control related work experience, preferably within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sector.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Able to work as an interactive member of a multi-cultural team.
* Read, understand and communicate project's codes and standards, drawings, specifications and contract documents.
* Highly motivated individual capable of working independently and participating with high performance team.
* Working knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel and Power Point.
