The Role:
The Biomedical Engineer supports the functionality of all medical equipment installed or to be installed at customers' facilities particularly with respect to mechanical installations, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, repairs, calibrations, software upgrades, configurations and network troubleshooting. The position requires travelling to all Curis' territories to complete work described above.

The incumbent will be required to:
* Respond to all customers' technical problems within 24 hours.
* Complete with minimal supervision, troubleshooting; installation; validation; maintenance; and service repair needs on designated GE medical equipment.
* Manage project deliverables and guide clients on site readiness for all GE Medical Imaging Systems.
* Complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance and Field Modification Instruction as needed.
* Completes training and corrective maintenance of medical equipment at customer sites as required.
* Coordinates repairs with Foreign Service Engineers (when necessary).
* Conducts pre-installation tests on new equipment (in-house where feasible) to confirm functionality prior to delivery/installation.
* Installs new equipment at customer sites as well as assists Foreign Service Engineers where necessary on equipment that requires installation by supplier engineers.
* Calibrates medical equipment in accordance to manufacturer's guidelines.


Skills required for the position:
* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
* A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in performing service on various modalities, and must be able to handle installation projects and daily service repair needs of designated GE medical equipment.

Additional Requirements:
* Availability and willingness to travel throughout the Company's territories.
* Must hold valid international travel documents at all times and available to travel abroad as required.
