The Role:
The client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of heavy-duty grease systems, oil recirculation systems, light duty oil systems, mobile fluid grease applicators, single point lubricators, and cooling and chilling units.

Since its formation in 1982, they have built a family of companies with over three hundred years of combined experience in the lubrication and cooling industries. Because of its worldwide presence and extensive product line is the supplier of choice for many multinational manufacturers who demand global delivery and service.

Through its facilities in the United States, China, France, Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Austria, India and Spain, the Group services various national and international manufacturers. Principle industries served include: machine tools, railroad, steel, mining, mobile, wind power, printing, food and beverage, textiles and material handling, aerospace, heat treatment, plastics and many more.

Main Functions
The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for supporting project developments, preparing and implementing detailed commission functions and plans. To commission systems and verify proper operation, and submit reports to validate commissioning completion. These tasks and projects of varying size are carried out throughout the UK and travel abroad is essential. You will be responsible in supporting our business developments typically focusing on improving mechanical, electrical and other systems on budget and within clients/customers' expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities
* To identify problems and short comings with systems.
* To co-ordinate testing and commissioning activities and provide advice on testing and commissioning.
* Undertake testing and commissioning and service/maintenance activities in line with specified documentation.
* To monitor progress, record all test findings, to witness final testing and completion of all documentation.
* To ensure safe testing and commissioning of completed installations to achieve the necessary plant
* To carry out full diagnostic checks and repairs to systems and equipment and provide reports for client and head office.
* To fully commission lubrication systems completing standard Lubrication commissioning sheets to comply with quality assurance requirements.
* To hold a current driving licence is essential.
* This role will require a flexible work schedule and extended work hours including at times, nights, evenings, weekends and flexibility to travel abroad essential.
* Record contract disruptions on the appropriate form.

Experience and Skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Hold recognised accredited certifications e.g., City & Guilds, FGas, 17th Edition, NVQ's in Mechanical, Electrical, Design, Air Conditioning,
* Experience in commercial and industrial installations/maintenance involving air conditioning.
* Experience in fluid flow, pressure, temperature measurements.
* Ability to prepare and implement detailed commissioning plans
* Ability to commission mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and deliver on multiple concurrent projects.
* Must have an excellent understanding of PLC based control systems.
* Must have an ability to work under pressure.
* Good IT and analytical skills.
