The Role:
The plant manager position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities.

Position Description
* Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving.
* Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Develop and control profits, plans, and budget.
* Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
* Manages capital asset maintenance.
* Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
* Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.
* Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
* Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
* Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
* Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
* Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisor.

Inside Customers: Sales Team, Finance Team, HR, Operations Team, Product Development and Marketing Teams

Outside Customers: Customers, vendors, suppliers

Partners: Sales Team, Finance Team, HR, Operations Team, Product Development and Marketing Teams

Work Environment: Works in a climate controlled, office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and frequent computer usage. Will be significant time out of the office and with customers. Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.

The Company:
This is an opportunity to play an critical role inside of the leading manufacturer of consumer foam products to Casper, Ikea, Serta Simmons, Macy's, Kohl's, and Bed Bath & Beyond. The challenge will be to take an under performing plant and work with a global team to make the facility operate in an efficient and profitable manner. Take charge of the P&L, make people accountable and inspire the team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education: 4-year degree
Years of Experience: 10-15
Languages Spoken: English required

Position Requirements
Must have experience managing consumer foam manufacturing facilities, specifically foam utilized for bedding and/or pillows. This experience is with foam pouring operations to create the product. If not experience with bedding or pillows, then please list their experience with consumer foam products. Lean manufacturing experience is also a key must have for this role.
