Sales Engineer

The Role:

  1. Interact with all non-marine customers in Qatar and abroad to understand their needs and provide solutions to them.
  2. Identify and develop new business development opportunities, through existing and potential new clients in order to drive more revenue and larger market share;
  3. Frequently visit the all the major process industries and major plants in Qatar, major O&G players for offshore and onshore in order to offer organisation services
  4. Obtain enquiries for non-marine projects, coordinate the quotations submission and close deals effectively and efficiently with clients and successfully convert them into sales revenue for organisation;
  5. Develop effective tools, platforms and materials for collecting accurate and relevant intelligence about local and regional markets;
  6. Develop new products for the market, expand the OEMs agencies for organisation in the non-marine field
  7. Conduct client visits to ensure their satisfaction and gather feedbacks, and ensure visibility of organisation's ship repair & Fabrication services;
  8. Study and analyse existing competitor prices and products and ensure organisation is better placed in clients' eyes in terms of service level and price;
  9. Keep a close watch on industry/ market developments within the region and advise Manager Business Development on the same;
  10. Record and report sales and order information in order to ensure that orders are compliant with organisation's sales procedures;
  11. Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients via meetings, telephone calls and emails;
  12. Create a detailed proposal documents, in order to propose a formal bidding process for prospective client;
  13. Advise on forthcoming product developments and propose special promotions;

Education & Professional Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, MBA Preferred

Professional Experience

10 years experience in offshore fabrication, steel construction, plants maintenance and shutdown business with thorough knowledge of Qatar market

Driving license in Qatar is must

MENA Experience Preferred

Additional Skills:

Strong knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and best practices

Good knowledge of MS Office, especially power point and Oracle Applications

Business fluent English, Arabic is a plus

Knowledge of Qatar Market
