The Role:
Fabric maintenance coordination of all activities in collaboration with Asset Integrity group and Engineering & Construction teams. Occasional support to Greenfield and Brownfield Asset Life Extension Projects (ALEP) as and when requested.
The primary purpose of the Fabric Maintenance Coordinator is to define and implement the fabric maintenance (FM), programme. This includes; Responsibility for all aspects of asset fabric condition e.g. coatings, insulation, passive fire protection (PFP), tertiary equipment (handrails, gratings, unistrut etc.); Ensure materials used in FM work-scopes are suitable and consciously selected to provide optimum quality versus cost; Ensure integrity risks associated with external corrosion and fabric degradation are assessed, categorised and repair prioritised as per CoP procedures.
Accountabilities and End Results:
The safe delivery and proactive planning of all Fabric Maintenance objectives in a timely manner in an offshore environment. A can-do approach when faced with problematic issues and support at all times to client values.

* Comply with applicable UK HSE legislation and company HSE advice.
* Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental Policies and Quality System.

Primary Functions & Dimensions:

* Manage the FM contractor to ensure effective implementation of all FM work-scopes (all coatings, insulation, flange protection etc.).
* Define and implement FM programmes.
* Work with Integrity and Inspection positions to ensure appropriate inspection programmes are implemented as part of the FM work-scopes.
* Co-ordinate offshore FM contractor activities.
* Work with Integrity and Inspection positions to develop inspection strategies and programmes to address threats to the assets 'fabric' integrity e.g. handrails and gratings; uni-strut; brackets etc. in line with industry best practice - HSE hydrocarbon leak reduction toolkit, client AI Recommended Practice (RP) documents (self-assessment checklists)'; Energy Institute Corrosion Management RP etc.
* Responsible for the development and implementation of 'tertiary' equipment maintenance/replacement programmes.
* Work with the Integrity Engineer to develop an integrated insulation removal and inspection programme (in support of the CUI strategy).

* Responsible for preparing and controlling the budgets for the following programmes; Fabric maintenance budget (coatings and insulation); Scaffolding (access requirements); FM materials -Enviropeel, Stopaq etc.
* Contribute to the annual preparation of the Asset Integrity Team budget.
* Control, forecast and work within the budget.

* Responsible for the preparation of monthly and annual FM reports including KPI's on plan attainment, fabric maintenance backlog (by category), productivity etc.
* Responsible for the development of degradation and failure criteria for all fabric components e.g. handrails and gratings, brackets, uni-strut supports, etc. in line with Energy Institute guidelines.
* Ensure procedures, specifications and documents are kept current and reviewed at specified intervals e.g. coating specification; insulation specification; surface preparation procedure etc.
* Act as CoP representative within relevant industry groups.
* Ensure timely closure of all assigned actions e.g. Synergi, ICP, audit, Strategic Improvement Plan actions etc.

* Responsible for the review and analysis of completed work-packs / programmes.
* Responsible for coordinating QA/QC of the FM contractor work and ensuring an audit programme is in place.
* Responsible for ensuring that all emerging fabric maintenance work is developed from the maintenance management system and incorporated into the appropriate work-scopes.
* Ensure all contractors are fully aware of the impairment criteria for all Safety Critical Elements and understand the safety element role of the equipment being worked on.
* Ensure all 'new' projects comply with the relevant specifications and standards with respect to meeting fabric maintenance standards.
Critical Skills:

1. Core Technical Experience
* Previous experience of operations support within offshore oil and gas industry.
* Awareness of KP-3 & 4.
* Knowledge of composite wrap repairs.
* NACE Protective Coating Specialist
* SSPC Protective Coating Specialist
* Commercial and contractual awareness.

2. Qualifications
* Current offshore survival and medical.
* Institute of Corrosion Fireproofing and Insulation Certificate
* Educated to degree level or satisfactory equivalent e.g. HND/HNC plus vocational certificates and NDT awareness/experience.
* NACE Coating Inspector Level 3 Certificate
* A member of a professional body e.g. NACE, ICorr etc.
* Track record of continuous professional development e.g. Chartered/Incorporated/Associated Engineer via a recognised engineering body.

3. Personal Characteristics
* Highly motivated, proactive problem-solving individual with good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to communicate technically complex/ novel
* concepts to non-specialists.
* Able to take a lead and show initiative.

4. Other Requirements
* Frequent Offshore visits
